Meet Our Team

•   My name is Danny Ellis, owner of Professional Office Installation Services, Inc. We are a family owned and operated business based in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area of North Carolina, but servicing companies up and down the East Coast with current plans to expand in to the Wilmington area. I have over 35 years of experience in the industry, including 12 years with an independent installation company in the 80’s and 90’s, mastering multiple manufacturers and overseeing large projects. I’ve invested 15 years managing operations for contract furniture dealerships in Florida and North Carolina. My long-standing career in the furniture industry has provided me with a vast knowledge of furniture sales, space planning, order entry, order/shipment tracking, receiving, scheduling, installation and timely completion of punch, all of which has been critical to my success. In the past nine years that POIS has been in operation, we have established and retained clients in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Washington D.C., Virginia, the Carolina’s, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Texas, California, Panama and Mexico City. A few projects that we have been a part of include installations for Quintiles, Time Warner Cable, Shutts and Bowen, Holland and Knight, UTC Technologies, Duke, NC State, UNC, Lenovo, Microsoft, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Southeastern Regional Medical Center, Cherry Point USMC, Camp Lejeune USMC, and Ft Bragg US Army.   

•   Timothy was introduced to the furniture industry at the very young age of 5. In the fall of 2013, upon completing his education, Tim transitioned from a part time associate to a full-time employee. Tim has been a huge asset to the POIS team through his natural leadership ability and customer relation skills. He has vast knowledge of multiple furniture manufacturers. Tim is one of our installation supervisors and has much experience with day to day deliveries along with large scale project oversight. He has warehousing experience including receiving product, processing paperwork, and pulling and staging for installation. Tim has remarkable focus and pays close attention to detail, specifically on the last 10% of an installation, is a defining strength as well as problem solving skills while on a job.   

•   Danny has spent the bulk of his life working in the furniture industry alongside his dad and was an critical part of the creation and development of POIS since its beginning in April 2012. He is the POIS ‘machine.’ He knows what needs to be done before he arrives and has the ability and knowledge to get right to work to complete jobs in a very efficient and timely manner. Danny has vast knowledge and experience with multiple furniture manufacturers. He has attended and successfully completed factory training and certification for DIRTT demountable wall systems. His devout focus to the jobs he is overseeing as well as completing are a tell-tale sign of his passion for the furniture installation business and his ability to get the job done quickly and correctly. He has experience communicating with a number of contractors and will maintain a positive attitude in all aspects of his work.   

Eduardo is our most recent addition to the POIS team. He joined us in August of 2020 and from the moment he started on day one, he has displayed initiative, hard work, and is a team player. He is fluent in Spanish and English which allows him to communicate with a variety of clients that we work with. Eduardo is constantly developing his skills within the furniture installation business and comes into work ready to learn and put his knowledge to practice. 

Kaitlyn has been working summers with her dad and brothers since the age of 13 and since graduating from Hollins University in May of 2021 with a B.A./B.F.A. in Dance, she has been dedicating her days to working with the POIS team. You can see Kaitlyn working on job sites installing furniture, in the office updating and taking photos for our social media and website, and helping to load and unload trucks in the warehouse. Kaitlyn continues to improve in her installation skills year after year and she carries an inviting and kind atmosphere everywhere she goes. As one of the few women see on a job site, she displays confidence in her knowledge and use of power tools when putting together furniture.
